Business Development Manager
SALARY: Starting in the Low $100k’s for Base Salary + Uncapped Incentive Compensation – Experience Dependent

SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager cultivates relationships with Western U.S. irrigation districts to grow Emrgy’s pipeline of in-canal hydro and water conservation projects. With 5 commercial grid-operating hydropower projects, 50+ projects in development, and over $30 million in venture funding, we are expanding our prospective sales to Western U.S. irrigation districts. The Business Development Manager is expected to have solid industry experience in the water resources sector and be capable of working directly with water district managers to contract multi-year, multi-million-dollar investments into the canal facilities that leverage the district’s unique canal assets. The candidate should be confident and capable of clearly articulating value propositions directly to district boards and staff. Ideally, the Manager is entrepreneurial and is a self-starting team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. Sales experience is a bonus.
The Manager reports directly to the Senior Director of Business Development and frequently collaborates with Senior Management and Engineering. The position will have routine travel up to 30% with peak conference season up to 50%+
